• Master Planning
  Master Planning is a study that defines the long-term, overall vision for a property.  Planning examines site feasibility, environmental concerns, appropriate regulations, and develops a plan based upon the client's program.  The Master Plan acts as a roadmap for the construction process and allows for phasing the project, clear decision making, and reductions in duplicate costs.

• Site Design
  Site Design is the conceptualization, development, and detailing of a specific landscape.  Site Design develops a vision into a beautiful, functional space.  Our work combines existing physical features with an in-depth understanding of the client's needs, wants, and values into a working design that the client can build from.

• Permitting and Regulatory Processes
  Many designs fail because they do not understand the regulatory processes of municiapl, state, and federal organizations.  EMG is proud of the fact that we maintain a strong level of design while obtaining permits allowing projects to proceed to construction without sacrificing the client's goals.

• Construction Observation
  The design process does not end on paper.  The design team is involved in the construction process in order to assure proper implementation of the design.  Construction Observation allows the designer to be creative in the field; making slight adjustments to improve the project and increase efficiency.  Some design projects and unique details require the designer to be hands-on and assist the consturction team in building the garden.

• Maintenance Programming
  A built garden is dynamic and always changing.  Proper maintenance programming provides a baseline of decision making as the garden unfolds over time.  Maintenance Programming is a report that details the recommended maintenance approach to the built landscape preserving the original design intent.
